Stefani is an Energy Engineer with a passion for transforming cities into more sustainable and equitable communities for their citizens and the environment. Her work at EN-POWER GROUP gives her the opportunity to work towards her passion focusing on one building at a time. She conducts energy audits, performs retro‑commissioning services, and develops energy reduction plans for multifamily and commercial buildings. Stefani also supports green building certifications services including LEED certification for existing buildings and Enterprise Green Communities (EGC) certification for new construction projects.
One of Stefani’s projects, the Glenmore located in Brooklyn, New York, is a 161-unit, mixed use building pursuing EGC certification and ENERGY STAR Multifamily High-Rise (MFHR) compliance. Built for Women In Need (WIN), the building aims to serve formerly homeless families and low‑income households, and has support from the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance Homeless Housing Assistance Program.
In pursuing green building certification, the project follows EGC’s extensive environmental framework to promote resident health, reduce operating costs, and decrease environmental impacts on the community through the use of sustainable materials. Stefani leads efforts to ensure the facility complies with all program requirements, including monthly site inspections and apartment blower door testing. Stefani perceives such projects as an opportunity to have an active role in creating better communities.
